Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Acting Head of TVET-A, Mawlawi Ghulam Haidar Shahamat, noted during the briefing that 35,000 Mujahideen are currently enrolled in administrative and management programs across the authority’s educational centers nationwide. The authority finalized 70 regulatory documents, including its strategic plan, to enhance the quality and reach of its services.
Shahamat emphasized the successful placement of 3,745 graduates from TVET-A’s institutions in both public and private sectors across 14 fields. Furthermore, the authority printed 2,085 Braille books for visually impaired students, providing greater accessibility to Islamic teachings and Qur’an memorization programs. In a landmark move, TVET-A plans to establish specialized educational centers for the visually impaired and deaf in each province.
Meanwhile, TVET-A’s Deputy for Technical and Vocational Education, Mawlawi Ghulam Saeed Ehsas, revealed that 8,150 individuals were trained in 31 disciplines through 321 classes, while 6 fields offered long-term apprenticeship programs. Ehsas further reported that the number of vocational branches had increased from 73 to 102 under the current administration.
Additionally, in collaboration with the Land Usurpation Commission, TVET-A successfully reclaimed 775 acres of land in provinces such as Jawzjan, Uruzgan, Laghman, Takhar, Balkh, and Kunduz, ensuring these resources remain under government control.
TVET-A also reported generating 3.12 billion Afghanis in net revenue from September 2023 to the end of June 2024, which has been duly submitted to the state treasury.
