Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: According to a statement from the ministry’s media office, the meeting focused on exploring solutions for providing water to support the project.
In the meeting, Minister Mansoor highlighted the ongoing depletion of groundwater resources and urged the company to prioritize the use of surface water to meet the project’s demands, reducing the burden on underground water reserves.
Furthermore, Minister Mansoor proposed that the company invest in the Panjshir-to-Kabul water transfer project. This investment, he explained, would not only secure water for the Mes Aynak mining operations but also address Kabul’s growing demand for clean drinking water, taking a significant step toward improving the city’s water supply./Bakhtar News
