Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Washington Post has reported that the Zionist regime has informed the United States that it will soon launch a ground attack against Lebanon, an attack that will be more limited than the previous war between the two sides in 2006.
A well-informed source told an American newspaper on Monday that the Zionist regime has informed Washington that it plans to carry out an imminent ground operation in Lebanon, an operation that will be more limited than the 2006 war between Lebanon and the occupying regime.
The American official, who did not want to be named, told the Washington Post that the planned operation of the Zionist regime will be more limited than the regime's last war against Hezbollah in 2006 and will focus on "clearing Hezbollah's infrastructure" along the border of the occupied territories.
The Washington Post also cited the statements of a Zionist source and reported that today (Monday) the Zionist forces carried out limited attacks on Lebanese soil.
In the past week, the Zionist regime has carried out heavy airstrikes on Lebanese soil, which has led to the martyrdom of at least 900 people, including Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah. These attacks have also injured 2,700 people.
On the other hand, the New York Times, quoting American officials, wrote: The risk of Iran entering the war is still present.
On the other hand, the Zionist newspaper "Jerusalem Post" quoted informed sources and claimed that the Zionist regime's land invasion of Lebanon may happen sooner than expected.
Meanwhile, Sheikh "Naeem Qassem", Deputy Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, said about the situation of the war with the Zionist regime: We know that the battle will be long and we are ready to face any eventuality and we will emerge victorious from this battle. There are many casualties, but we are sure that the enemy will not reach their goal and we will emerge victorious from this battle.
The senior Hezbollah official also said: Israel cannot harm our military power and if the Israelis decide to enter by land, we will face any possibility and the resistance forces are ready for a ground conflict.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Naim Qassem said in the first speech after the martyrdom of the Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General: We know that the battle is long and the options are in front of us.
He added: "If Israel decides to enter by land, we are also ready and have equipped ourselves."
On the other hand, US President Joe Biden has said: We must reach a ceasefire immediately; I will be very happy if the military operations between Israel and Hezbollah stop.
Biden added: I am aware of the reports about Israel's approach for a ground attack on Lebanon.
On the other hand, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrow emphasized on Monday that the previous ceasefire proposal regarding Lebanon still stands.
He continued: "We ask Israel to refrain from any ground attack on Lebanon and to establish a ceasefire."
