In the continuation of Russia's advance in eastern Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of this country claimed that it has completely captured the city of Salidovo on the Donetsk front. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine announced that the government debt of this country has crossed the border of 155 billion dollars.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that the city of Selidovo on the Donetsk front has been completely liberated. The ministry explained that the liberation of this city was the result of the successful operation of units and forces of the "Center" military group.
Selidovo is located 40 kilometers northwest of Donetsk city and is of great strategic importance. The armed forces of Ukraine had established one of their largest fortifications in this city. For Russia, this city will serve as a launching pad for continued attacks on the city of Krasnoarmisk.
In addition, on the same day, it was reported that the residential areas of Katrinovka, Gornik, and Dobrovolye were also liberated as a result of the operation of the military forces of the "Central", "Southern" and "Eastern" groups of Russia.
Meanwhile, the "New York Times" newspaper, quoting its informed sources, reported that Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, was shocked that the United States did not allow Kiev to use long-range American weapons to attack Russia in September.
According to this publication, "Zelensky was very shocked that US President Joe Biden did not allow him to use long-range American missiles to attack Russian territory during their September meeting in Washington. In the past, Biden has typically initially rejected Ukraine's requests for weapons such as Abrams tanks, F-16 fighter jets and ATACMS missile defense systems, but eventually relented. This information was provided to this newspaper by four American officials.
The Office of the President of Ukraine has also confirmed Zelensky's disappointment with this meeting. Dmitry Litvin, Zelensky's communications adviser, stated that Kiev had repeatedly tried to explain why it needed permission to use long-range weapons.
However, US officials believe that Ukraine has not provided convincing reasons for this request. They also pointed out that the number of targets announced by Ukraine is much more than the number that the US and Western countries can provide without jeopardizing their reserves to solve possible problems in the Middle East and East Asia.
American officials have also assessed Zelensky's so-called "Victory" plan as unrealistic, noting that it is completely dependent on Western aid.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, announced that the Ministry of Defense of this country is developing countermeasures against possible attacks with long-range weapons on Russian soil. He had expressed hope that NATO countries would take his warning about the consequences of such attacks seriously.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine announced on Tuesday that the government debt of this country has crossed the border of 155 billion dollars. According to domestic publications, in September, the total debt of the government increased by 0.56 percent.
According to published statistics, at the end of September, the government debt of Ukraine reached 6404 billion hryvnias (about 155.56 billion dollars).

Reports also suggest that Ukraine's public debt may exceed 100 percent of GDP by 2025. The budget deficit for the coming years is set at 19.4% of GDP, which is lower than the level predicted for 2024 and the actual level in 2023.
