According to IRNA, he added: The plan to block the border will be completed and put into operation in the first half of next year based on the available forecasts.
The Minister of Interior of Iran continued: The blocking of the border is not only physical, but part of the wall is in the form of barbed wire and its smart part includes radars. So when we have a combination of a wall and smart systems that complement each other, we will see the blocking of the border.
He stated: Blocking the border has a significant impact on the public security of the region, the entry of smuggling and drugs, and the organization of foreign nationals.
Momeni said: Foreign nationals return when they leave the country, and the plan to block the border will help this issue and the security of the region.
Iran's interior minister also participated in the introduction ceremony of Mansour Bijar, the new governor of Sistan and Baluchistan, who is a Sunni Baloch.
Mansour Bijar is a Sunni Baloch who was elected as the governor of Sistan and Baluchistan by the vote of the Iranian government last week.
