Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the delay in sending military aid from the West is one of the main reasons for the insufficient equipment of the Ukrainian armed forces on the front line.
He said: "The situation on the eastern front of Ukraine is difficult. Yes, it is a fact that the number of our forces is not enough to resist the Russians there. Our military units are facing difficulties for various reasons, including the delay in sending foreign aid. Western partners must act more decisively in this regard."
Earlier, some experts warned of the possibility of the collapse of the Ukrainian defense lines under pressure from Russian forces. It was also reported that the Ukrainian armed forces' offensive in the Kursk region turned into a "strategic disaster" for them due to the lack of military personnel in the Ukrainian army.
On Saturday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the total number of casualties of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Kursk region had exceeded 35,000.
Not long ago, US President-elect Donald Trump held Zelensky personally responsible for the start of the Ukrainian conflict, noting that "Zelensky should never have allowed this conflict to begin."
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that his country was waiting for the peace plan proposed by US President-elect Donald Trump in January.
He noted that he was also ready to consider proposals from the leaders of African, Asian and Arab countries in this regard. Zelensky added: "I want to see the proposals of the new US president. I think we will receive these proposals in January."
Zelensky also expressed confidence that Ukraine would reach a plan to end the conflict. Yesterday, Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, said that Trump could end the conflict in Ukraine because Washington had all the tools necessary to stop the war. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also stressed that Moscow would wait for Trump's proposals and was ready to consider them.
