Trump, Biden administration sign transition agreement
After weeks of delay, US President-elect Donald Trump's transition team has signed a transition agreement with the White House. The agreement allows the new Trump administration to access federal resources, such as personnel and documents belonging to federal agencies, regardless of the transition.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): After completing the process of selecting its future cabinet, US President-elect Donald Trump's team will enter the next phase of the transition in the White House by signing a memorandum of understanding with the current President Joe Biden's administration.
"This interaction allows our preferred cabinet nominees to begin necessary preparations, including sending their teams to each department and completing an orderly transition of power," said Donald Trump's chief of staff Susie Wiles in announcing the news.
Republican Donald Trump defeated Democrat Kamala Harris in the US presidential election held on November 5. His inauguration is scheduled for January 20, 2025.
