Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The official Syrian News Agency (SANA) quoted a military source as saying that the Syrian army forces in northern Hama strengthened their defensive lines with various weapons last night.
He emphasized: Our forces in northern Hama confronted the terrorists and did not allow them to have any infiltration.
The military source added: Our armed forces were able to expel terrorists from some areas and restore security to those areas, the most important of which are the Al-Mudaiq Castle and the village of Maardis in Hama.
Terrorist groups launched a massive attack on Syrian army positions in the northwest, west, and southwest of Aleppo on Wednesday morning, with the support of some countries and the arrival of fresh foreign forces.
This military operation by terrorists against Syrian army positions violated the ceasefire agreement signed in 2020 because this area is covered by the "de-escalation" agreement that was signed with the guarantee of Turkey in the city of Astana and includes areas in Idlib, the outskirts of Aleppo, and parts of Hama and Latakia.
The General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces announced in its latest statement that terrorist groups continue to spread fake news through their media outlets and in line with the coordinated and organized media war in order to break the morale of the heroic Syrian nation and army.
The statement adds: These groups are taking advantage of the recent events in Aleppo and the focus of some global and Arab media outlets on publishing all news without checking the accuracy of this news, and are spreading a huge amount of fake news and rumors about Syrian cities.
The statement continued: "The Army and Armed Forces Command calls on the Syrian people not to pay attention to these media outlets and not to take the news published on their pages seriously. The Syrian Army has always had and will continue to have a strong presence in defending the country and its citizens against terrorism and its supporters."
The General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces concluded the statement by emphasizing that the confrontation with terrorist groups is ongoing successfully and decisively, and that a counterattack will soon begin to recapture all areas and cleanse them of the taint of terrorism.
