AfghAfghance Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock sent a press release to AVA News Agency saying that Maulavi Osmani, the deputy minister of agriculture and livestock of the ministry, in a meeting with members of the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce in Tehran, emphasized the expansion of economic and trade cooperation, especially in the agricultural sector.
In this meeting, the parties reviewed joint investment opportunities in Afghanistan’s agricultural sector.
According to the press release, the topics discussed included the cultivation and production of agricultural products, the development of modern irrigation systems, the transfer of new technologies, and the processing of agricultural products.
The Ministry of Agriculture says that increasing the export and import of agricultural products and removing trade barriers between the two countries were also among the other topics discussed.
Molavi Osmani announced Afghanistan's full readiness to facilitate the export process of agricultural products and called for Iran's cooperation in this regard.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture's press release, at the end of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continuing talks to resolve trade problems and strengthen economic relations between Afghanistan and Iran.
It is worth noting that the Deputy Minister of Agriculture had previously met with the Deputy Minister of Agricultural Jihad of Iran to discuss expanding cooperation, especially in the field of agriculture.
