Strong earthquake shakes Khuzestan province in Iran
A 5.6-magnitude earthquake shook Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran this morning (Thursday).
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to the Iranian Seismological Information Center, the earthquake occurred this morning at 7:32 a.m. local time in Tehran at a depth of 10 kilometers from the earth's surface.
 
The earthquake has so far had 7 aftershocks, the largest of which was 4.8 on the Richter scale.
 
The earthquake was also felt in neighboring provinces and Basra province in Iraq.
 
According to IRNA, this is the second earthquake in the past week to occur in this province and so far there have been no reports of possible damage from this earthquake.
 
On Friday morning last week, an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale also shook Ahvaz.
