Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a press release saying that Nuruddin Azizi, acting minister of the ministry, met with Aibek Usmanov, the Uzbek ambassador to Kabul.
In this meeting, the two sides discussed the allocation of land for the construction of a cement factory in Samangan province, obtaining relevant permits for the transfer of machinery and equipment from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan for the implementation of geological exploration projects in the northern regions of the country, and obtaining an Afghan Standard Certificate for Uzbek synthetic diesel.
The two sides also discussed and consulted on accelerating the implementation of the project to construct the Surkhan-Puli-Khumri power transmission line and its extension to Jalalabad city of Nangarhar province, the development of the Termez International Trade Center, the construction of a hospital and residential facilities, and the expansion of this market towards Afghanistan, and holding an international halal exhibition in Termez.
According to the press release, Nooruddin Azizi was invited to visit Uzbekistan again during this meeting.
It is worth noting that the issues discussed in this meeting were agreed upon during the visit of the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Emirate to Uzbekistan and the visit of the Prime Minister of that country to Afghanistan.
