Officials of the General Directorate of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports of the country, in a ceremony to encourage and appreciate the medalists of the Ibrahim Mustafa Cup international wrestling competitions in Egypt, say that they are working with all their might to develop sports and support athletes in the country.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Ibrahim Mustafa Cup international wrestling competitions were held among eight countries of the world and hosted by Egypt for five days, in which 9 athletes and 3 coaches participated representing Afghanistan.
In these competitions, Moqibullah Nezami won the gold medal in the 57 kg weight category and in the freestyle wrestling style by defeating three of his opponents, and Abdullah Mohammadi won the gold medal in the 79 kg weight category in the freestyle wrestling style by defeating three of his opponents. Zaid Salehi won the silver medal in the 74 kg weight category in the freestyle wrestling style. Also, the bronze medal of these competitions was won by Farhad Malekzadeh in the weight of 86 kilograms in freestyle wrestling and Ahmad Shoaib Siegel in the weight of 87 kilograms in the Gregorian style.
It is worth mentioning that in these competitions, Egypt won the first place with the most medals, Afghanistan won the second place with five medals, and Jordan, Bulgaria, and China came in third, fourth, and fifth places, respectively.
Mawlawi Ahmadullah Wasiq, the General Director of the National Sports Administration, congratulated the medal-winning athletes on winning the vice championship at this ceremony and added: The General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports of the country has worked with all its might to develop sports and support athletes in the country and is trying to develop sports throughout the country.
He added that the National Sports Administration cooperates with all sports federations and tries to support them.
