The former Chief Minister of Punjab, Pakistan, claimed that the Pakistani government, based on its new policy, will support some Tajiks and Uzbeks who oppose the Islamic Emirate to confront the caretaker government of Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Najm Sethi", former Chief Minister of Punjab, announced that, based on the new policy, the Pakistani government will support a number of Tajiks and Uzbeks who oppose the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
He also stated that the recent visit of the head of the Pakistani Army's Intelligence Service (ISI) to Tajikistan was to establish relations and support the resistance front against the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
This Pakistani politician believes that this is the first time that Pakistan has adopted a clear policy towards Afghanistan and this is the initiative of the new ISI chief.
He mentioned historical events, naming Ahmad Shah Massoud and Abdul Rashid Dostum, and said that there has always been a power struggle between Tajiks and Uzbeks and Pashtuns in Afghanistan.
Previously, some sources and journalists had reported on Pakistan’s new plan to support the opponents of the Islamic Emirate and Afghanistan and warned about it. According to these sources, Pakistan is once again seeking to fuel insecurity and instability in Afghanistan. In this context, Pakistan is seeking to establish a strategic partnership with the Tajik government, and the recent visit of the head of the Pakistani military intelligence agency to Tajikistan and his meeting with the country’s officials has been analyzed in this context. In addition, the Islamic Emirate and some other sources had published numerous reports about Pakistan’s support for the Khorasan branch of ISIS and the establishment of sanctuaries for this terrorist group on the territory of the country.
