Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that the Zapad (West) group of the Russian army had taken control of the village of Nadia in the Luhansk region, and that about 590 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed in the fighting in the past 24 hours in the area.
The Novosti news agency reported that the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement: "As a result of successful offensive actions, Zapad units liberated the village of Nadia in the Luhansk People's Republic."
The Russian Defense Ministry also announced that Kiev had lost more than 440 soldiers in battles with the Russian Central Army Group and more than 250 soldiers and an ammunition depot in battles with the South Group.
According to the statement, Ukraine lost about 170 soldiers in battles with the Vostok Group and about 70 soldiers in battles with the Dnieper Group of the Russian Armed Forces.
In addition, Ukraine lost about 50 soldiers and a tank in battles with the North Group of the Russian Armed Forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry also announced that air defenses had shot down eight long-range Atkmaz missiles launched by Kiev.
