Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani emphasized that the martyrs Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and Qassem Soleimani stood up to defend Iraq in the darkest conditions in all the trenches based on the fatwa of the wise authority that saved Iraq and the region, so much so that the authority described them as heroes of the battles of victory over ISIS terrorists on the day of their martyrdom.
Al-Sudani emphasized: Martyr Al-Muhandis always emphasized supporting and preserving the government, while the Popular Mobilization Forces are also part of the government and are under its umbrella and defend it, and we consider the Popular Mobilization Forces to be a fundamental force in defending the country.
The Iraqi Prime Minister stated: The Popular Mobilization Forces are today a fundamental force in defending Iraq. Iraq is at the peak of readiness and is ready to respond to any aggression, regardless of its source. Our security forces are capable of ensuring the country's security. The Popular Mobilization Forces paved the way for the government to launch service and development projects and fundamental administrative and economic reforms.
He added: The Popular Mobilization Forces are one of the fundamental pillars of security and peace. We have moved towards expanding Iraqi sovereignty and ending the mission of the international coalition that helped Iraq during the ISIS days. We have moved towards establishing multilateral relations with the coalition countries and have not limited ourselves to the security dimension, and we have taken Iraq’s interests into consideration in our negotiations with these countries.
He said, according to Mehr Al-Sudani: “In line with loyalty to the blood of the martyrs and Iraq’s pivotal role in the region, everyone’s duty should be to preserve the democratic system and respect the constitution.” Iraq’s role in the crisis that has gripped the region since October 7th was evident. Iraq was one of the most important countries that moved to contain the crisis and its consequences.”
The Iraqi Prime Minister continued by saying that the major countries and the international community were unable to stop the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, and said: The government succeeded in keeping Iraq away from the fiery belt.
He also said about Syria: "The developments in Syria are affecting the present and future of the region, and this country needs to make efforts to support stability and create a pluralistic system that respects all spectrums and components."
