Syrian Transitional Government Delegation Meets with Qatari Officials
A delegation from the Syrian interim government under Golani's control, consisting of the Foreign Minister, the Defense Minister, and the head of the intelligence service, met and consulted with Qatari officials during a visit to Doha.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): A delegation from the Syrian interim government under Golani's control, consisting of Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani, Defense Minister Murhaf Abu Qasra, and Intelligence Director Anas Al-Khattab, met and consulted with Qatari officials during a visit to Doha.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement in this regard, announcing that Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani welcomed a high-ranking Syrian delegation.
The statement said: The Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister emphasized Doha's position in supporting the unity, sovereignty, and independence of Syria during the meeting.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry also announced that in this meeting, the Qatari Prime Minister and the delegation of the armed groups discussed bilateral cooperation relations, ways to develop these relations, and the latest developments in Syria.
In addition, the Golani delegation also met and consulted with "Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khelaifi", Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
After this meeting, Al-Khelaifi announced that they had discussed with the Syrian delegation the steps to participate in building the future of Syria.
Al-Shaibani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian Armed Groups, also stated: Qatar played a prominent role in supporting our nation and will be a partner in building the future and peace in Syria. We conveyed our concerns to Doha regarding the challenges related to the economic sanctions imposed on the Syrian people.
He added: The new Syria will benefit from very good relations with the region; relations that are dominated by peace and common interests. Once again, we call on the United States to lift the sanctions imposed on the Syrian people.
It is worth noting that a few days ago, a delegation of Syrian armed groups met with Saudi officials.
