Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to Rai Al-Youm, the ongoing armed clashes between Turkish-backed elements on the one hand and the US-backed Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) on the other hand have killed at least 100 people in the outskirts of Manbij in northern Syria.
These clashes have left more than 100 dead over the past two days, 85 of whom are Turkish-backed forces.
The SDF forces announced that they had foiled an attack by Turkish-backed elements with air support against the eastern and southern areas of Manbij and north of the Tishrin Dam.
Simultaneously with the overthrow of the Bashar al-Assad regime by elements of the Tahrir al-Sham group, Turkish elements also took action against the Kurdish forces. Clashes between the two sides have continued ever since.
