Afghanistan supports strengthening cultural relations with Russia and regional countries
The Ministry of Information and Culture says that the deputy minister of the ministry, in a meeting with a delegation from the Chechen Federative Republic of Russia that recently arrived in Kabul, said that Afghanistan supports strengthening cultural relations with Russia and regional countries.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Information and Culture issued a press release today (Monday, January 6) saying that Maulavi Atiqullah Azizi, the deputy minister of culture and art of the ministry, met with the delegation of the Chechen Federative Republic of Russia, headed by Jumblatt Umarov, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Chechen Republic and Deputy Chairman of the Council of Nationalities of the Russian Federation, who traveled to Kabul to discuss cultural issues and visit the historical and cultural potential of Afghanistan, in a preliminary meeting during their reception at the Kabul International Airport.

At the beginning, Umarov expressed his pleasure at their visit to Afghanistan and emphasized the strengthening of cultural relations between Afghanistan and the Chechen Republic, and spoke about the historical and cultural commonalities between the two countries throughout history, considering it important in developing relations.

On the other hand, Maulavi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister of Culture and Arts of the Ministry of Information and Culture, in his speech, called the nation and people of the Chechen Republic brothers of the Afghans, and referred to the relations between Afghanistan and the Russian Federation since the Timurid era, and considered the role of the Russian Federation in the economy and infrastructure of Afghanistan to be important.

Finally, Maulavi Atiqullah Azizi, while welcoming the mentioned delegation, added that we are pleased to welcome such an academic and cultural delegation to Afghanistan, which will strengthen and develop cultural relations between the two countries.
