Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul today (Monday, January 6) announced the meeting of the Iranian Embassy’s Chief of Staff, Ali Reza Bekdali, with the Interior Minister, Sirajuddin Haqqani, adding that during this meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations.
According to the press release of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during this meeting, the two sides emphasized strengthening ties and increasing cooperation between the ministries of the two countries.
On the other hand, Abdul Matin Qane, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, in a press release on X, while announcing the meeting of Acting Minister of Interior Sirajuddin Haqqani with Alireza Bekdali, Charge d'Affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, added: "In this meeting, the Minister of Interior welcomed the Charge d'Affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressed hope that he would play a positive and effective role in further strengthening relations between the two countries, which are neighbors and have historical and cultural commonalities." Mr. Qane clarified: Mr. Bekdali also said in this meeting that we are Muslim and neighboring countries. Both countries have an Islamic system, which naturally brings our relations closer, and these commonalities strengthen both countries.
