Trudeau: Canada will never merge with the US
The outgoing Canadian Prime Minister has made it clear that his country will not become part of the United States under any circumstances.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Justin Trudeau", the outgoing Canadian Prime Minister, has responded to the repeated calls of "Donald Trump", the President-elect of the United States, for Canada to become the 51st state of the United States, saying that there is absolutely no chance that Canada will become part of the United States.

Trudeau wrote in a post on the social network "X": "There is not the slightest chance that Canada will become part of the United States. Workers and communities in both countries benefit from being each other's largest security and trading partners."

Justin Trudeau, who has been under pressure in recent weeks due to threats by US President-elect Trump to impose extensive tariffs on Canadian goods, announced his resignation as leader of the Liberal Party on Monday and said that he will continue as Prime Minister of Canada until a new party leader is elected.

His post today comes in response to Donald Trump’s repeated call for Canada to become a U.S. state in response to Trudeau’s resignation.

On Monday, Trump posted on his social media account, Truth Social, once again calling for Canada to become the 51st state of the United States, writing: “Many people in Canada would love to be the 51st state of the United States. The United States of America can no longer afford to suffer the huge subsidies and trade deficits that Canada needs to survive.”

“Justin Trudeau knew this and resigned. If Canada joined the United States, there would be no tariffs, taxes would be drastically reduced, and they would be completely safe from the threat of Chinese and Russian ships surrounding them. What a great nation we would be together.”
