American magazine: The US mission to contain the Yemenis has failed
A US magazine reported, citing high-ranking intelligence sources, that US efforts to deter and weaken the Yemenis have failed and that the country has not been able to stop attacks against Israel.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to Al-Mayadeen, the American magazine Foreign Affairs, in an article written by "Bet Sunner", former deputy director of the US National Intelligence Service, referred to the US military performance in confronting the Yemeni forces and wrote that the US mission to deter the Yemenis failed and that the Yemeni armed forces launched a new wave of missile and drone attacks against the Israeli regime and its and US shipping in the Red Sea in the last week of 2024.

According to this report, the Yemenis targeted a number of American naval and commercial ships last December and carried out 10 missile and drone attacks on the occupied territories. In this regard, a US F-18 fighter jet also crashed in the waters of the region.

The report adds that the operations of the Yemeni forces and their idealism have not decreased, but the level of American military readiness and their credibility have been eroded, so the United States needs a new strategy based on its power elements, not on a showy act in the Red Sea.

Referring to the creation of the American coalition in the region against Yemen, Foreign Affairs stated that very few of Washington's partners joined this coalition, and 9 months after the start of the American military attacks, General George Wyckoff, the commander of the US Navy in the Middle East, publicly announced last August that US efforts to deter the Houthis had failed.

The report adds that the decrease in attacks on American, British and Zionist ships in the Red Sea is mainly because the aforementioned ships have reduced their traffic in the region and have replaced longer and more expensive routes.

The American publication adds that threats and increased military tension did not stop the Yemeni operations, because they consider themselves the victors of this war and not only can they contain the damage caused by the American coalition's attacks on their territory, but every attack that is carried out increases their credibility and popularity.

According to the report, the Yemenis have threatened to resume their attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure and ports, which could increase oil prices.

Referring to the costs of the US military operation against Yemen, the report wrote that the Americans are spending $570 million a month to carry out a mission that has not resulted in a single success and has further depleted American forces, while at the same time increasing the life of the US naval fleet and the rate of attrition of the naval forces.
