The advance of the Zionists in the south of Syria; Netanyahu: The Israeli army will remain stationed in Syria for another year

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Al Jazeera news channel reporter quoted a local source as reporting that the army forces of the occupying regime have penetrated into various areas around Al Quneitra province located in the south of Syria.

 

Al Jazeera's reporter also announced that the forces of the Zionist regime penetrated the town of Abu Ghara and destroyed military centers in this area, and this operation lasted for several hours.

 

This source emphasized that the army forces of the occupying regime advanced at night towards the town of "Taranjah" in the northern suburbs of "Al-Qunitra" province and proceeded to inspect and clear agricultural lands on the "Taranjah-Hajar" road.

 

On the first day of the fall of Damascus on December 8, 2024, the Zionist army, taking advantage of the planned instability in Syria, entered areas in the south of the country, especially the city of Quneitra, and announced the establishment of a buffer zone in this area.

 

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of the Zionist regime, also announced the end of the agreement with Syria in 1974 regarding the Golan and issued an order to advance into Syrian territory and airstrikes against all military and defense headquarters of this country.

 

Netanyahu has admitted that he has no plans to withdraw his forces from Syria in the near future.

 

Zionist sources have also reported that Netanyahu has ordered the army to be stationed in Syria for at least one year.

 

The forces of the occupying army, who have been stationed in the southern regions of the country a day after the fall of Damascus to the armed opposition, complain about their purposeless presence in Syria and believe that there is no reason to be in Syria at the moment.

 

The armed opposition in Syria took control of Damascus on the morning of December 8th (18th of August) and after that, the command of the Syrian army announced in a statement, the fall of the government of "Bashar Assad". Following these developments, "Mohammed al-Bashir", who was appointed as the head of the transitional period of Syria, officially assumed the headship of the transitional government of this country until next March.
