Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: In a statement released to the media, Fitrat described the US assertions of billions of dollars in aid as “completely false.”
Fitrat emphasized that the Islamic Emirate has not received any financial assistance from the US and has never made such requests. He criticized the US for not only withholding aid but also for blocking access to billions of dollars belonging to the Afghan people, which he described as usurpation of Afghan assets.
“Contrary to what the US is claiming, the funds they refer to are primarily the costs associated with the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan,” Fitrat stated. He reiterated that the Islamic Emirate holds no expectations of US aid moving forward.
