Syria's request for Israel to withdraw from the occupied territories / Russia: Israel violates international law

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Qasi al-Dahhak", the ambassador of Syria to the United Nations, in a speech during the meeting of the Security Council of this organization regarding the developments in this country, said that his country needs to ensure that the occupying regime does not violate the current conditions of sovereignty. Syria and trying to create a new reality by invading other areas will not abuse the territory of Syria, he emphasizes.

He said: Syria wants the Israeli forces to withdraw from the areas they entered recently and to end their aggressive actions against the Syrian people.

Earlier, following the continued aggression of the Zionist regime on Syrian territory, the transitional government of the armed opposition of this country had submitted a letter of protest to the Security Council and the Secretary General of the United Nations.

In this letter, the transitional government of Syria asked the UN Security Council to take action to force the Zionist regime to immediately stop its attacks on Syrian territory and withdraw from the areas it has penetrated.

 

On the other hand, Russia's representative to the United Nations, Vasiliy Nebenzia, warned against the illegal actions of the Zionist regime in Syria in this Security Council meeting.

"We point to the direct threat to the territorial integrity of Syria caused by Israel's illegal actions," Nebenzia said.

He said: "500 square kilometers of Syrian lands have been captured by Israeli forces."

According to this report; The Zionist regime occupied Al-Tulul al-Hamr area in the northern suburbs of Quneitra in southern Syria. The Zionist regime also carried out a dredging operation using bulldozers, Merkava tanks and dozens of soldiers. The forces of the Zionist regime entered the two villages of Al-Asha and Abu Ghareh and Al-Hiran Farm in the southern suburbs of Quneitra with tanks.

This senior Russian diplomat added that Israel's actions are a gross violation of international legal decisions, including those of the Security Council and the General Assembly.

Accusing the US of worsening the situation in Syria, he said, "Washington has been occupying northeastern Syria, an area with the most natural resources, and has imposed heavy sanctions against this country."

Nebenzia continued: "As a result of these actions, the Syrian economy is under severe pressure and is unable to face the challenges facing this country."

 

As part of the Zionist regime's attempt to exploit the situation in Syria militarily, for the first time since 1974, the army of this regime entered Syrian territory several kilometers from the side of the occupied Golan Heights. Also, the cabinet of this regime agreed to the occupation of Jabal al-Sheikh region of Syria and the establishment of a buffer zone in this region.

The Zionist Army Radio emphasized: The Israeli army will be the executive power in the buffer zone on the Syrian border, and the control of the buffer zone in Syria is a temporary operation due to the fear of the militias' threat.
