Pakistan to provide 4,500 scholarships to Afghan students
Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan has announced that the country will provide 4,500 scholarships to Afghan students.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Afghanistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq Khan has announced on his X-ray network that his country has awarded 4,500 scholarships to Afghan students.
 
Pakistan's special envoy said he was chairing a meeting within the framework of the Coordination Center between the governments of Afghanistan, Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
 
He said the meeting had allocated 4,500 scholarships under the title of Allamah Iqbal to Afghan students for the next three years in various fields including medicine, engineering and agriculture, including bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.
 
Sadiq Khan also added that 33 percent of the scholarships were allocated to female students.
 
Mohammad Sadiq stressed that the registration and examination process for the scholarship is online and will be completed within 45 days.
 
He said more than 22,000 applicants will take an online test this month, followed by an interview for the final selection. He said the entire process would be completed within 45 days.
 
Pakistan has previously offered free scholarships to Afghan students.
