Saudi Arabia; Lebanese president-elect
Lebanese President-elect Joseph Aoun is on his first foreign visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, media reported.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has congratulated Joseph Aoun on his election as president of Lebanon, according to Al-Ahd.

In the phone call, bin Salman reportedly invited the Lebanese president-elect to the country.

"I have not come to do politics, I have come to build the country and a country will survive only on the basis of justice and equality among all its components," the Lebanese president said after meeting with Abdul Latif Daryan, the country's mufti.

"This is the pledge of every Lebanese, regardless of his position and sect, and we have a great opportunity to either win or lose," Aoun said. We need to work together to take advantage of this opportunity.

"It is hoped that the government will be formed as soon as possible to put things on the right track and we are ready to build trust with the outside world," he said.

"We have the capacity, facilities, human energies to produce and, most importantly, natural resources," he said. The only thing that is necessary is to have a pure intention in the interests of Lebanon, not personal interests.

"We should count on foreign aid, not take our power from them," he stressed. In Lebanon, no sect or tribe is superior to another.

Joseph Aoun has been elected as the new president of Lebanon.
