Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The European Union increased its total humanitarian aid to Ukraine and Moldova to more than one billion euros with its new aid worth 148 million euros.
140 million euros of this amount will be used for urgent and necessary things, including food, shelter, clean water and necessary protection against the cold.
The remaining 8 million euros will be spent on humanitarian projects and support for Ukrainian refugees in Moldova. Financial aid, access to basic welfare services including education and health care, as well as social and psychological support, will be among the uses of this money in Moldova.
Out of a total of 1.1 billion euros of EU humanitarian aid to Ukraine, a total of 1.09 billion euros have been allocated for humanitarian aid in Ukraine and 84 million euros have been spent on supporting Ukrainian refugees living in Moldova.
According to Fars, in addition, during the more than three-year war between Moscow and Kyiv, the European Union has provided other weapons and financial aid to Ukraine on several occasions. In one of its latest actions, this week, this union granted a loan worth 3 billion euros (equivalent to 3.09 billion dollars) to Ukraine.
