Two Afghan citizens freed from kidnappers after 13 days of hostage-taking
Two Afghan citizens who were held hostage by a group of nine kidnappers for 13 days have been released, the head of Tehran's intelligence police said.

The man claimed that his brother had gone to the meeting with a friend and that he was missing.
The man also claimed that after the two men disappeared, a video of them being tortured by an unidentified person was sent to him and the hostage-taker asked him to pay $20,000 to free his brother and friend. otherwise he will never see them again.
The head of Tehran's intelligence police continued: Based on these statements, a case was formed in the intelligence police and detectives initially began their investigation by taking inquiries from hospitals; But no trace of the two young men was found.
"Investigations revealed that the two men were last seen in the West Township and left the scene in a Pride car," Godarzai said. After this important clue was found, detectives identified the owner of the Pride car. The man declared during interrogations that he was the driver of the internet taxi and had taken the two to Shahriar.
He added that investigations into the possible hiding place of the hostages were ongoing and officers were examining CCTV footage when the hostage's brother again approached the police and said that the hostages had contacted him again and introduced an account number to transfer money.
The head of Tehran's intelligence police said: "The necessary measures were immediately taken to identify the owner of the account and after identifying him and receiving a court order, the accused was arrested in his hideout.
The accused denied any kidnapping and tried to divert the investigation until the two hostages went to police and introduced themselves, the Tehran security official said.
He added: Detectives found out that the girl in question had asked the two men to go to a garden in Shahriar to meet her. Then several men, also Afghans, attacked the two men and imprisoned and tortured them for 13 days; But suddenly they noticed the presence of police near the garden and left the hostages in the desert around the city.
The head of Tehran's intelligence police continued: "In the end, all the Afghan hostages were identified and all nine of the accused were arrested.
