Pakistan says it has killed 27 insurgents in Baluchistan province
Pakistan says its security forces have raided a "terrorist hideout" in Balochistan province and killed 27 insurgents in what it described as an "intelligence operation".
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Pakistan Army published a statement on Monday, 13th of January, saying that "several hideouts, including weapons, ammunition and explosives hideouts, were also found during this operation in the central district of Kachhi in this large but sparsely populated state." It was destroyed."

The announcement states that law enforcement agencies targeted the killed rebels for organizing "terrorist activities" against security personnel and civilians. According to the Pakistani military, the Baloch Liberation Army, a separatist group, and its allies are operating in this area.

The Pakistani military did not provide details about the identity of the killed people. But Baloch separatist groups and TTP have a large presence in Balochistan.

The Baloch Liberation Army has not commented on this matter.

This is despite the fact that last week dozens of Baloch Liberation Army fighters attacked Zohri city in Khuzdar district of Balochistan province. According to the Baloch Liberation Army and Pakistani officials, they briefly took control of government facilities, including a security base, and robbed a bank before setting fire to several buildings and fleeing the area.

This attack has provoked criticism regarding the delay in the response of the Pakistani security forces to the attacks of the Baloch Liberation Army.

Dawn, the English-language newspaper of Pakistan, wrote in its editorial: "Those who are responsible must explain how the terrorists were able to control the area for eight hours."
