Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Iranian President Massoud Pazeshkian stated in a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin that took place today at the Kremlin: Our communications on the region and bilateral issues are increasing and economic, trade and cultural relations are becoming stronger.
He continued, most of the agreements we have had between our ministers and experts and Russian experts have been summarized and finalized and will be signed by both sides in today's meeting.
He said: We have tried to eliminate all the problems and obstacles to bilateral cooperation until today.
Pazeshkian added: We consider the relationship with Russia sensitive and vital and we stand firmly on this path.
He added that the advice of Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Revolution, is that the region should be managed by the governments of the region; there is no need for them to come from the other side of the world and manage the region.
He emphasized: The process of trade, cultural and economic cooperation between Iran and Russia is moving forward more firmly than before.
Putin: Bilateral issues are under the control of the Leader of Iran
Russian President Vladimir Putin also expressed his pleasure at hosting Pazeshkian and the accompanying delegation and said: Your Excellency's visit to Russia is of particular importance because we will not only review all issues related to bilateral cooperation, but also sign a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement between the two countries.
The Russian President, while explaining the dimensions of this strategic treaty and its role in developing cooperation between the two countries, especially in the trade and economic fields, added: The process of developing relations between the two countries is currently at an acceptable pace, and we have been able to increase the volume of trade exchanges between the two countries by more than 15 percent over the past 10 months, and we are confident that this treaty will help accelerate the development of relations in all aspects.
Vladimir Putin emphasized: Based on this treaty, we will cooperate in important and large-scale joint projects, including the development of nuclear power plant and energy projects, cooperation in tourism will increase by 21 percent, cooperation in the transport sector and the development of communication routes will develop, and we will also make progress in the humanitarian sector.
The Russian President also emphasized the development of cultural cooperation as well as further regional and international coordination based on this strategic agreement between the two countries, and said: We are pleased with Your Excellency's presence in Russia and wish the best for the Leader of the Revolution, Imam Khamenei. Whatever is done on bilateral issues between Russia and Iran is under his consideration and control.
