Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Iran's President Masoud Pazeshkian and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, have also discussed the situation in Afghanistan during their meeting in Moscow.
In a joint press conference with Putin on Friday, Pazeshkian said: "Given the current situation in the region, the improvement of the level of security cooperation in issues such as the fight against extremism, terrorism and organized violence was emphasized, as well as a wide range of regional issues from including the Middle East and the Caucasus, the exchange of views and the importance of maintaining peace and stability in Afghanistan were emphasized."
During his trip to Moscow, Pazeshkian deepened Iran's military relations with Russia by signing a 20-year strategic partnership agreement.
According to this agreement, Russia and Iran will strengthen their cooperation in areas such as security services, military maneuvers, port visits of warships and officer training.
