Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), this afternoon (Monday), issued a statement congratulating the release of the first group of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons and announced that seeing the joy of the Palestinian people while chanting victory slogans while welcoming the prisoners once again showed that the people are with the resistance and that the place of resistance in the hearts of the Palestinians has been established.
In part of this statement, Hamas referred to the situation of the Palestinian prisoners released from Israeli prisons and compared it to the situation of the three released Israeli prisoners.
Hamas said: "The situation of the released Palestinian prisoners compared to the Israeli prisoners reflects the difference between the resistance ethic and the brutality and fascism of the occupiers."
Yesterday, Palestinian resistance groups and the Zionist regime released a number of prisoners in order to implement the terms of the ceasefire agreement and handed them over to the International Red Cross.
Pictures released by the Hamas movement of the three freed Israeli prisoners showed the resistance forces treating the Israeli prisoners appropriately and humanely. Hamas forces saw off the Israeli prisoners with gifts.
However, accounts from Palestinian prisoners released from Israeli prisons indicated the inhumane treatment of Palestinians by Israeli forces.
"Abdulaziz Atuna," a Palestinian prisoner who was released from Israeli prisons yesterday, told Reuters in an interview that in prison, "we were insulted and insulted; we were beaten and tear gassed at us."
"Rose Khois," another Palestinian female prisoner who is only 18 years old, told Reuters that Israeli prison guards treated Palestinian prisoners like animals.
