Strengthening diplomatic relations is the focus of Muttaqi
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that the head of the ministry met and discussed with the charge d'affaires of the Qatari embassy in Kabul about the development of bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Qatar, the strengthening of diplomatic relations, Qatar's aid to Afghanistan and regional issues.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amir Khan Mutaqi, met and discussed with Mirdif Al Qashouti, Chargé d'Affaires of the Qatar Embassy in Kabul.
 
Zia Ahmad Takal, Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this meeting by publishing a notice on X.
 
He said that during the meeting, "development of bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Qatar, strengthening of diplomatic relations, Qatar's aid to Afghanistan and a number of regional issues were discussed and exchanged".
 
The Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not published more details on this matter.
 
In the latest case, Qatar has been in charge of mediating the exchange of prisoners between the Islamic Emirate and the United States, according to which a member of the Islamic Emirate who was imprisoned in the United States was exchanged with two American citizens who were imprisoned in Afghanistan.
