Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Hafiz Zia Ahmad, deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement on Wednesday that MaulMaulavi Khan Muttaqi, the acting head of the ministry, met with Rosa Otunbayeva, the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Afghanistan, and The head of UNAMA has visited.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed economic growth and the situation in the country, humanitarian and development aid and a number of other issues, he said.
Mr. Muttaqi pointed to the achievements of the Islamic Emirate in various fields and said that the country's economic stability is improving, as evidenced by the recent World Bank report that Afghanistan's economic growth is 2.7 percent this year.
"Other projects in the field of economic development are also being implemented, and with their completion, we will see rapid economic growth," Muttaqi added.
Meanwhile, the UNAMA chief said that for the first time in three years, the level of development assistance to Afghanistan has increased, which will have a positive impact on the country's economy.
He also pledged to share the achievements of the Islamic Emirate at UN meetings.
It is worth mentioning that the economic situation of the country has been facing problems due to the reduction of international aid to Afghanistan in the past few years, but with the efforts of the Islamic Emirate, the economic situation is said to be improving.
