Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): CBS News quoted Robert Luna, the Los Angeles County Sheriff, as saying that more than 9,200 acres of land in the area have burned as a result of the new large fire; 31,000 people have been ordered to evacuate and 23,000 others have received evacuation warnings.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department announced that an investigation into the cause of this new fire has begun.
Since January 7, massive fires have been raging in Los Angeles, killing at least 27 people and forcing tens of thousands of residents to flee, according to US authorities.
According to the US National Weather Service, the economic damage from these fires has so far reached $250-275 billion.
US sources reported that more than 50,000 people in northern Los Angeles have been ordered to evacuate or warned due to forest fires that threaten their homes.
The most severe fires in California history have destroyed more than 12,300 buildings. Since January 7, multiple forest fires in California have killed at least 25 people and displaced tens of thousands.
