Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Zionist Radio and Television Organization referred to the statements of the occupying army last night and announced: While the 60-day deadline set in the ceasefire agreement is set to end within the next 72 hours, the Israeli army will not complete its withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
This official body of the occupying regime reported that representatives of the Israeli army recently held a closed meeting with members of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Knesset (Israeli parliament), and in this meeting they emphasized that the army cannot withdraw from all of southern Lebanon within the set deadline.
According to the report, Uri Gordin, commander of the Northern Region in the Israeli army, said in the meeting, the date of which was not mentioned: "The picture of the situation in the border areas is completely dark."
While the occupation regime has violated this agreement more than 600 times in the past 57 days since the ceasefire began, Uri Gordin claimed that Hezbollah is violating the ceasefire and that the Lebanese army is also helping it!
The Zionist regime's Channel 13 television reported in this regard that Israel has asked the administration of the new US President Donald Trump to allow the Israeli army to maintain five military points in southern Lebanon. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also asked Trump to agree to the Israeli army remaining in southern Lebanon, contrary to the ceasefire agreement that includes the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Lebanon.
On the other hand, in a meeting he had on Wednesday with Hennis Plasschaert, the UN coordinator in Lebanon, who has now traveled to the occupied Palestinian territories, Israeli Foreign Minister Gedeon Saar claimed that Tel Aviv is fully committed to the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon and is determined to continue this process!
The Israeli official said in the meeting that with the expiration of the deadline set in the ceasefire and the time for Israel to withdraw from southern Lebanon, this withdrawal should be carried out gradually in accordance with Israel's security needs.
A fragile ceasefire has been in place between Lebanon and the Israeli regime since November 27, 2024, which was supposed to be completed by the end of the 60-day deadline set in the ceasefire agreement, which is less than three days away, and mutual operations between the two sides would cease during this period. However, the Israeli regime has not adhered to the terms of the agreement since the very first days and has so far violated the ceasefire agreement more than 600 times by carrying out continuous aggression and killing dozens of Lebanese citizens.
According to the terms of the ceasefire agreement, the Zionist occupiers are required to gradually withdraw from the areas they occupied during the war in southern Lebanon over a period of 60 days, which is about to end soon, and to deploy the Lebanese army and security forces along the borders with occupied Palestine and southern Lebanon. However, now, as the 60-day deadline approaches, as is evident from the positions of Zionist authorities and institutions, the regime intends to remain in southern Lebanon.
During this period, Hezbollah carried out an operation in the form of a warning message against a military center of the Zionist regime in response to the regime’s repeated violations of the ceasefire. In order not to give the Western parties and international institutions an excuse, it allowed the Lebanese government and the committee supervising the implementation of the ceasefire, of which France and the United States are the main members, to assume responsibility for confronting the Zionist aggression during these two months, as stated in the ceasefire agreement; a responsibility in which the aforementioned parties practically failed.
Hezbollah officials have emphasized that after the end of the 60-day period, the Zionist troops in southern Lebanon will be considered occupiers and the resistance will adopt an appropriate strategy to confront them.
During the Zionist regime’s aggression against Lebanon since October 8, 2023, more than 4,000 people have been martyred in the country and nearly 17,000 have been injured, most of whom, like the victims in Gaza, were women and children. One million and four hundred thousand people were also displaced in Lebanon, and the largest number of victims and displaced persons was recorded after the intensification of the occupation regime’s aggression against Lebanon since September 23, 2024, especially after the crime of the pager explosions.
