Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The largest Jewish anti-Zionist network has been active in the United States and Europe since 2008, and these activities have intensified since 2023 with the Zionist regime's massacre in Gaza.
According to Al Jazeera, "IJAN", the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network, is a movement that was formed on the initiative of a group of Jewish activists in 2008 with the aim of confronting the policies of the Zionist regime towards the Palestinians.
The goals of this network are to confront and dismantle the apartheid and racist Zionist regime and support the right of Palestinians to self-determination and fight against the occupation. This movement has launched numerous demonstrations in Western countries.
Establishment of the Anti-Zionist Jewish Movement
The International Anti-Zionist Jewish Movement was formed in 2008 in the context of Jews who opposed the policies of the Zionist regime and sought to absolve themselves of the behavior of this regime on behalf of Judaism. This group always condemns the racial cleansing that the Zionist regime has carried out against the Palestinian people.
The establishment of this movement was established by an anti-Zionist Jewish woman named "Sarah Karshnar" and a group of native Jews from England, America, Canada, Europe, Israel, India, Mexico and Argentina.
The most important founders of this network are:
Sarah Karshnar: Ms. Karshnar is one of the main founders of this company, which began its activities in solidarity with the Palestinian people during the Second Intifada. He has always been a defender of Palestinian rights and an opponent of the policies of the Zionist regime.
Michael Kalmanovich: He played a key role in strengthening the positions of this anti-Zionist network in the world and continued his efforts to raise awareness about the rights of the Palestinians and criticize the policies of the Zionist regime.
Sam Weinstein: He was born in the United States and was one of the influential founders of the Jewish Anti-Zionist Network. He has participated in many international forums on Palestinian rights and has called for the elimination of the racist regime in Palestine.
Goals of the Jewish Anti-Zionist Movement
In its institutional charter, this network stated its goal of eliminating the racist Zionist regime and emphasized the need to strive for the return of Palestinian refugees and end the colonization of Palestine by Israel.
In its charter, this movement emphasized the full right of the Palestinians to self-determination and to confront the Israeli occupation, and stated that in this struggle it particularly emphasizes the Palestinian national movements and organizations led by Palestinians.
The network emphasized the need to fight Zionism and stated that the movement seeks political, legal, and economic domination over the Jews of European nations.
Anti-Zionist Jews reject the Zionist regime's colonial expansionism and the Zionist view of Palestine as an abandoned land, and believe that this claim was made only to justify the destruction of Palestinian lives.
This group expresses its opposition to the Zionist organizations and political lobbies of this regime, which were established to support and strengthen Zionist ideas in the world, and declares its solidarity with the Palestinian people and its efforts to establish justice and support Palestinian-led struggle groups in confronting oppression.
Milestones in the Anti-Zionist Jewish Network's Struggle
After the Zionist regime's war on the Gaza Strip began in 2008, Zionist opponents affiliated with this movement began their protests in American cities and some other cities by forming human chains, for example, in front of the Zionist consulate in Los Angeles.
In December 2009, members of this movement held a large march in front of the Israeli diplomatic mission in New York City.
Elements of this movement also condemned the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip in 2014, emphasized their presence alongside the Palestinian resistance, and called on the international community to prosecute the Israeli regime for its repeated crimes against the Palestinians.
Following the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm and the Israeli regime's brutal attack on the Gaza Strip, members of this movement held repeated protests, especially within the context of the student movement at American universities.
About 100 members of this network participated in the protests in San Francisco and occupied the lobby of the hotel where the Israeli consulate is located in the city. The US police attacked the demonstration and arrested dozens of them.
In early 2025, London police arrested and interrogated Yael Kahn, a Jewish anti-Zionist activist. In this regard, "Sam Weinstein", a member of this movement in the UK, said: "We have a Zionist government [in the UK] that receives some orders from Jerusalem and the Israeli embassy. Neutrality does not mean anything here."
The group announced that Kahn was arrested simply for making comparisons between the behavior of the Nazis and the horrific genocide that took place in Gaza. This is while the massacre that Israel is carrying out against the women and children of Gaza, some of whom are less than a year old, can be compared to the most heinous crimes in history.
The movement considered Kahn's arrest an attempt to silence this growing movement and stated that the genocide that Israel is carrying out is only possible with political support and aid.
