Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The International Cricket Council today (Friday, Jan 24) announced the list of the best team of fifty-over matches in 2024, in which the names of three players from the Afghan national team, Rahmanullah Garbaz, Azmatullah Omarzai and Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar, appear.
According to this list, the other members of the team include four players from Sri Lanka, three players from Pakistan and one player from the West Indies.
Previously, three players of the Afghan national cricket team, including Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan and Azmatullah Omarzai, were among the top ten all-rounders in the world.
The country's blue-clad players are among the world's top players, even though more than 160 British politicians recently asked the England Cricket Board not to allow the England national cricket team to compete against the Afghanistan national cricket team during the Champions Trophy in Pakistan next month, but this request was rejected by the England and Wales Cricket Board.
The England national cricket team is scheduled to play the Afghanistan team in a 50-over series on February 26 in Lahore.
