Unrest in Homs, Syria after the execution of 13 Alawites
Residents of the Alawite village of Fahil in Homs province, Syria, protested with a large gathering against the attack by armed groups and the execution of 13 residents of the village and the kidnapping of 53 others.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Alawite areas of Homs province, Syria, have witnessed numerous raids by armed groups affiliated with Mohammad Jolani (Ahmad al-Sharaa) these days, including the village of Fahil, which witnessed a major crime yesterday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that "unidentified armed men in military uniforms raided the village of Fahil in the western suburbs of Homs and executed 13 people in public and arrested 53 others. While there is fear of their execution, panic has prevailed among the residents of the village and security measures have been tightened and residents are being prevented from approaching the bodies."

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, since the beginning of 2025, the number of reprisals and purges in various Syrian provinces has reached 80, resulting in the deaths of 169 people, including 164 men and 5 women, due to religious and sectarian affiliation.

This incident led the people of the village of Fahel to hold a demonstration yesterday afternoon demanding an end to the rebels' aggression and crimes; they also stressed the need to clarify the fate of more than 50 residents of this village who were kidnapped by the Golani government forces the previous day.

However, military sources affiliated with the new Syrian government claimed in an interview with SANA that the attackers had no connection to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham or groups affiliated with the new Damascus government and committed this crime arbitrarily.
