Seyed Abbas Araqchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who arrived in Kabul at the head of a delegation, was welcomed by his counterpart Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi at the headquarters of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to the deputy spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, following this welcome, a meeting and bilateral talks began between them.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: At the beginning of this meeting, Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, while welcoming the Iranian delegation, said: We hope that this meeting will enhance the level of our relations and yours. Iran and Afghanistan are two neighboring and Muslim countries and always share each other's joys and sorrows. We hope that your visit will be fruitful.
According to ISNA, following this meeting, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi also said: Iran and Afghanistan are two friendly, brotherly and Muslim countries. The two countries have very deep historical and cultural ties with each other and we have always had good relations with each other throughout history.

He continued: "The economic and trade relations between the two countries are at a very good level, and I hope that during this visit we will further expand relations in the national interests of the two countries and the two nations." The Iranian Foreign Minister said: "God willing, more economic and cultural relations will be established between the two countries and these relations will expand day by day." This is the first visit of the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kabul in the new era of the Islamic Emirate's rule and is considered one of the important diplomatic events in recent years. Seyyed Abbas Araqchi and his accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Kabul Airport by officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, the head of the Iranian embassy, ​​and Iranian diplomats. Meanwhile, Abdul Latif Nazari, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Islamic Emirate, wrote on the X social network: "Reviewing bilateral relations, signing new cooperation documents, increasing political trust, emphasizing the expansion of bilateral investments, and deepening and expanding cooperation will be among the main goals of the visit of the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Araqchi, to Afghanistan." During this one-day visit, Mr. Araqchi is scheduled to meet with high-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate government, including the Prime Minister and his Deputy for Economic Affairs, and the heads of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense, and discuss issues of interest.
A meeting with Afghan economic activists will be another of Mr. Araqchi's plans in Kabul.
Representatives of various ministries and an Iranian economic and trade delegation will accompany the Foreign Minister on this trip, which is a sign of the importance of Afghanistan's role in Iran's trade and economic exchanges.
