Dogharun Border, Golden Gate for Trade and Transit; 60% Increase in Exports of Goods from Dogharun Customs to Afghanistan
The Governor of Taybad in East Khorasan Razavi said: The value of goods exported from Dogharun Border Customs to Afghanistan was $190 million, 407 thousand, 624 from the beginning of this year to the end of Qas, which is a 60% increase compared to the same period last year. He also emphasized that the Dogharun Border is a golden gate for trade and transit of goods and one of the busiest land crossings of the Islamic Republic of Iran in terms of goods and passengers.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mashhad: Mehdi Sherdil said: During this period, $190 million, 407 thousand, 624 of goods have been exported from Dogharun Border Customs to Afghanistan, which is a 23% increase in weight compared to the same period last year.

He stated: This amount of goods was exported to Afghanistan from Dogharun Border Bazaar, Dogharun Special Economic Zone and Border Terminal.

Referring to the transit of goods to Dogharun, Governor Taybad said: This year, 894,755 tons of goods worth $3.667 billion and 550,773 were transited from other countries to Afghanistan through Dogharun, which has increased by 87 percent in weight and 120 percent in value.

He added: During this period, 96,507 Iranian and foreign trucks have entered the Dogharun border terminal from Afghanistan, which is a 46 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Sherdil continued: The amount of transportation fleet traffic from the Dogharun border to Afghanistan during the same period was 104,304 vehicles, which has increased by 37 percent.

He clarified: Construction materials, rebar, gasoline and liquefied gas are among the most important export items to Afghanistan, and various types of oilseeds and construction stones comprise the majority of goods imported from Afghanistan to the Dogharun border.

Governor Taybad referred to the establishment of the Dogharun Free Zone and stated: The Dogharun border is a golden gate for trade and transit of goods and one of the busiest land crossings in the country in terms of goods and passengers. Now that the Dogharun Free Zone has officially started its activities in this area, it is necessary to provide the necessary infrastructure in this economic center.

He added: In the passenger sector, more than four thousand people, including drivers, passengers, and employees of various administrative and service departments, travel to and from Dogharun every day, and more than one million passengers legally enter the two countries of Iran and Afghanistan through the official Dogharun crossing annually.
