Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: US President Donald Trump claimed that his administration has already had very serious discussions with Russia about its war with Ukraine and stated that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin will soon take significant steps to end this war.
According to the Associated Press, Trump told a group of reporters at the White House: We will talk and I think we will do something important in this regard. We are going to end this war.
Trump once again claimed that if he had been the US president instead of Biden, the war in Ukraine would never have started.
However, Trump did not mention which people from his administration had been in contact with Russian officials, emphasizing that officials from the two countries had already spoken to each other on this matter.
Asked by reporters whether he had previously spoken directly to Putin, he said: "I don't want to answer that question."
Since his return to power, Trump has repeatedly criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying that he should have taken action to prevent a continuing conflict with Putin.
