Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: A meeting of foreign ministers of several Arab countries in Cairo emphasized their opposition to the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, a plan that US President Donald Trump is pressuring to implement.
Earlier, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry announced the holding of a Cairo meeting with the participation of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Jordan, as well as a representative of the Palestinian Authority and the Secretary-General of the Arab League on Gaza.
The joint statement of the meeting commended the efforts of Egypt and Qatar in reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
The statement stated that we look forward to working with the Trump administration to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East based on a two-state solution.
The statement said that we support the efforts of Egypt, Qatar and the United States to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in all its stages until a complete ceasefire is achieved.
The statement said that we emphasize the importance of the sustainability of the ceasefire in Gaza in a way that ensures the delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip.
The statement added that we emphasize the pivotal role of UNRWA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East), which is irreplaceable and indispensable.
The Cairo meeting also emphasized the importance of the international community's joint efforts to plan and carry out comprehensive operations to reconstruct the Gaza Strip as soon as possible in a manner that ensures the survival of the Palestinians in their land.
