Expanding Economic Cooperation between Kabul and Tehran in the Field of Mines and Infrastructure
Seyed Hossein Ali Shahidi, a member of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce of Iran, announced consultations between Afghanistan and Iran to develop infrastructure and exploit the country's mines.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Isfahan: Sayed Hossein Ali Shahidi, a member of the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce of Iran, announced: In negotiations with Afghan government officials, it has been proposed that Iran receive the privilege of exploiting some Afghan mines in exchange for creating infrastructure.

Shahidi emphasized the importance of these interactions and said: "Afghanistan is our friend and neighbor with whom we have deep historical and cultural relations."

Referring to the civilizational, religious and even common challenges between the two countries, he stated: "Some of our Afghan friends believe that despite these closeness, the economic cooperation between the two countries is much less than expected. Accordingly, we decided to bring our capabilities to the fore and initiate negotiations with the Afghan government through the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce and Mobarakeh Steel.”

Recent negotiations between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and Iran on infrastructure development and mining exploitation indicate a new approach in the economic relations between the two countries.
