Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): In this edition of the competition, 60 participants from 38 countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and America, including Afghanistan, participated in the fourth edition of the International Quran Recitation Competition in Indonesia.
Nasruddin Omar, Minister of Religious Affairs of Indonesia, said: "We previously focused on organizing and holding these competitions domestically, but now we have started holding similar competitions internationally."
Emphasizing that people from all over the world have shown great interest in participating in the competition, he noted: Participants from 187 countries of the world participated in the initial stage, which was held online in 2023.
He added: "We also offer cultural introduction and urban tourism activities. Because our guest participants are from other countries and most of them may not have visited Indonesia before. That is why we guided them to several points of special importance."
He noted: The Indonesian International Quran Competition was held with the slogan "Quran, Environment and Humanity for Global Solidarity." This slogan challenges us to prove that the Quran is one of the holy books that emphasizes the importance of preserving the environment.
