Zelensky: I have no idea about the $200 billion US aid
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that he has no idea what happened to the $200 billion in military aid allocated to his country by the US.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that he has no idea what happened to the $200 billion in military aid allocated to his country by the US. In an interview with the Associated Press, he emphasized that Kiev received only more than $75 billion from Washington.

Zelensky said: "When they say that Ukraine received $200 billion during the war to support the army and other state affairs, this is not true. I do not know where this money went. Perhaps this amount is correct according to official documents."

He added: "Even half of the announced aid has not reached Kiev. When the United States announces the amount of $ 177 billion as approved by Congress, it should be borne in mind that this aid was not provided in cash, but part of it in the form of weapons. In financial terms, Ukraine received a total of $ 76 billion and a little more.

Zelensky also noted that his reaction to the announcement of the suspension of US aid was different, since part of this aid, about $ 300-400 million, was allocated for humanitarian programs related to energy, health, and the reconstruction of border crossings. He assured that this amount would be provided with European participation or from domestic sources, but did not explain how these resources would be provided in the conditions of an unprecedented budget deficit of the Ukrainian government.

Irish journalist Chi Bowes, responding to the Ukrainian president’s remarks on his page on the X social network (formerly Twitter), noted that Zelensky, by claiming that Ukraine had received only half of the allocated aid from the United States, was in fact admitting to the embezzlement of these funds in Kiev.

After his inauguration, US President Donald Trump recalled that Washington had given Ukraine $200 billion more than other members of the coalition, and now it was time to balance the situation.

Since the beginning of the military conflict, Ukraine has received about $2.6 billion in humanitarian aid, at least $5 billion in development assistance, and $30 billion in direct budgetary assistance under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). In late January, the agency, on Trump’s orders, suspended its support programs for foreign countries, including Ukraine.
