Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: A large conference to support small industries was held to explore opportunities, provide solutions, and strengthen its role in economic development, with the presence of Sheikh Maulana Islam Jar, Governor of Herat, and other local officials, industrialists, national businessmen, and a large number of residents of the province.
At the conference, the Governor of Herat spoke about the importance of small industries and their role in the country's economic development, and urged investors to spend their accumulated wealth to invest in the small industries sector, which is a pressing need of the society.
Sheikh Maulana Islam Jar continued to assure investors of providing facilities such as land distribution, electricity supply and complete security, and said that there will be no intermediary between the local administration and investors.
According to him, any industrialist and investor who faces a problem can approach the provincial government without any intermediary or contact them through contact numbers, so that their problem can be addressed as soon as possible.
Mr. Islam Jar, while expressing concern about the high balance of foreign imports, criticized those who prefer foreign imports to domestic products in their thoughts.
He also said: "All investors, scholars, scientists, media and universities should move in a general direction to make Herat province an industrial city so that in the not too distant future, a balance can be created in the amount of imports and exports."
It is worth mentioning that this large conference was held with the aim of introducing investment opportunities in the city of Herat and while discussing the importance of the material and spiritual aspects of investing in the small industries sector in the country, it was warmly welcomed by religious scholars, investors and industrialists.
Also, traders, investors and industrialists assured the local administration of their readiness to invest in various sectors needed by small industries and to activate more factories in the Herat Industrial City.
