Russia and Ukraine exchange 150 prisoners of war
After heavy fighting in recent days between Russia and Ukraine, the two countries exchanged 150 prisoners of war.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Wednesday that the latest round of prisoner exchanges with Russia had taken place and that Kiev had received 150 of its soldiers held captive by Russia.
 
Zelensky wrote on the Telegram messenger: "All of them are from different front-line units. Some of them are boys who have been in captivity for more than two years."
 
In this regard, the RIA news agency reported, citing the Russian Defense Ministry, that Moscow and Kiev released 150 prisoners in exchange for 150 prisoners.
 
The Russian Defense Ministry, while stating that the prisoner exchange was carried out as a result of the negotiation process, stated that all (released) military personnel are now in Belarus and are receiving the necessary medical and psychological assistance.
According to the RIA news agency, it is worth noting that the UAE has provided humanitarian assistance during the return of Russian troops.
 
The previous round of prisoner exchanges between the two countries took place on January 15. At that time, 25 Russian soldiers were released in exchange for the transfer of 25 Ukrainian soldiers to Kiev.
