Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The English-language newspaper "Financial Times" reported that "Donald Trump" wrote in a message on his social network "Social Truth" that reports about the US and the Israeli regime preparing to "destroy Iran" are exaggerated.
Stating that his priority is to reach a verifiable nuclear peace agreement with Iran, he said: "We must start working on it immediately and hold a big celebration in the Middle East when this agreement is signed and finalized."
On Wednesday morning, Tehran time, and an hour before meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, the US President signed a circular ordering various government agencies to implement a more stringent policy of maximum pressure on Iran.
While signing the circular, Trump expressed hope that there would be no need to use these sanctions against Iran and that the two sides would be able to reach an agreement. In another part of his speech, the US President expressed his readiness to meet with the Iranian President.
According to IRNA, in response to the US President’s statements, stating that it cannot be said that a meeting between the two people is impossible, Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref emphasized: “Today, meeting and negotiating with US President Trump is not on the agenda of the Islamic Republic.”
Aref stated that if Trump believes that Iran should not enter the nuclear weapons space, this is Iran’s permanent strategy, and added: “The US President should rest easy because we have issued a fatwa in this regard and we have no debate on this strategy.”
Trump has been talking about negotiations and agreements, even though he withdrew from the nuclear deal with Iran in 2018. Iran has always stated that it is ready to negotiate to defend its nuclear rights, but it is Washington that has not adhered to its commitments and has violated and withdrawn from an agreement that was approved by all world powers and international institutions in the past.
