Dozens of Historical Relics Transferred to National Museum
The National Museum has discovered a remarkable collection of 97 historical artifacts at the ancient sites of Mes Aynak, Logar, and the Shuwak Stupa in Bagrami District, Kabul.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Zabihullah Sadat, head of archaeology at the Ministry of Information and Culture, reported that these relics were meticulously cleaned, restored, and registered before their transfer to the museum. The newly acquired items include a diverse array of artifacts such as pottery oil burners, terracottas, beads, spindles, and embroidery, as well as various vessels made from stone, pottery, plaster, metal, and bone.
These artifacts trace their origins to the Kushan, Kushan-Sassanid, and Sassanid-Kushan periods, dating back to between the 2nd and 7th centuries AD.
This addition to the museum not only enriches Afghanistan’s cultural heritage but also highlights the ongoing efforts to preserve and showcase the country’s historical treasures.
